Strengthening local governments’ capacity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change.
The Local Climate Change Initiative is designed to strengthen local governments’ capacity to reduce emissions and adapt to climate change. The Program is generating and disseminating new knowledge to support the creation of state policies addressing local emissions, to assist local governments in meeting these new regulatory demands, and to promote best practices in local government climate action policies.
Juan Matute directs the Local Climate Change Initiative. His research on rideshare dynamics was funded by Next 10. See the full Unraveling Petroleum report and the rideshare brief on Next 10’s website.
