UCLA at TRB 2021
UCLA ITS packed schedule at TRB 100th Annual Meeting The Transportation Research Board (TRB) 100th Annual Meeting will be held virtually from Jan. 21–29, 2021. The program has previously attracted over 13,000 transportation professionals from around the world and will involve more than 3,000 presentations in 350+ sessions. The meeting program will cover all transportation modes, addressing topics of interest to policymakers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions. A number of sessions and workshops will focus on the spotlight theme for the 2021 meeting: Launching a New Century of Mobility and Quality of Life. This year’s meeting also will feature dozens of sessions on how COVID-19 has impacted transportation and how transportation professionals and researchers are responding. UCLA will have a significant presence at the event with presentations from faculty, affiliated researchers, and students. Jiaqi Ma, new faculty member in the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering and head of UCLA ITS' new mobility research area, is involved in 11 TRB presentations. Sam Speroni MURP '20, who received the Neville A. Parker Award for best planning capstone project, will present his research on Jan. 25 and 26.
